Description
This book was inspired by more than a decade of hands-on experience in cybersecurity, governance, risk, and compliance. Throughout my professional journey, I have observed that the greatest threats to organizations are not always external — they are often internal, gradual, and silent. Policies drift away from their intent, privileges expand without oversight, and governance quietly weakens until the entire structure of resilience is compromised.
The motivation behind this work was to confront those invisible failures. Through continuous research and real-world practice, I developed practical frameworks that transform governance from a reactive concept into a measurable, proactive discipline. The models introduced in this book — the Privilege Maturity Index (PMI), Control Drift Taxonomy (CDT), and Access Governance Risk Score (AGRS) — are the outcome of real observations and professional insights. They are designed to help organizations identify, quantify, and correct governance drift before it turns into a crisis.
